We had a lovely stay at Ripon Inn during our visit from the states. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our large party. The food was excellent, and they were very careful with food allergies. I am going to miss coffee in the gardens in the morning; can’t wait to come back.
I stayed here for one night and couldn't have asked for a better experience! The room was airy and easy to get to, and everything was spotless. The team greeted me warmly and made the check-in process a breeze. I had dinner during my stay, and it was delicious. Overall, an outstanding place with top-notch service – I'll definitely be back!
Overall, I am very happy with our stay at Ripon Inn. However, there were a couple of things that severely impacted the possibility of booking again in the future. Firstly I would like to note that it is a fabulous hotel with stunning grounds and great outdoor areas. Staff are all very good and its location to the town is superb. On the downside, the car park is tiny compared to the size of the hotel, and almost half the space seemed to be disabled. No excuse when you see the gardens and land the hotel has. Secondly and I hope this is a very rare occurrence but we were in room 44 and our amorous neighbours in 46 kept us awake until 2.30 and when I say the walls were paper thin I mean we had to endure everything. Awkward, to say the least, but well done fella that was a shift!! . Thankfully, we didn't meet them at breakfast, perhaps they were too tired. Bar has Pepsi, and nobody told me so for those Jack and Coke fans ..... It's not the same! The food was good, both evening meal and a fabulous buffet breakfast. Coffee was disappointing. Town centre, cathedral, museums, and canal are all a very short walk from the hotel. Would I stay there again, sadly not. The hotel is exceptional in many ways, but the two key parts of a £160 hotel stay for me are a guaranteed parking space and a good night's sleep. You are guaranteed neither at this hotel.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff. Good selection of food & drinks, well presented and tasty. Room enormous with everything you'd need. Big space / beer garden to the rear - fabulous in the sunshine. Definitely consider as a base for exploring the region.
